You will discover the real power of your smile.
Dr Beata E Baumann
After completing my medical degree at the University of Szeged in Hungary together with some specialisation years in dentistry at the Semmelweis University in Budapest, I moved to New Zealand. My dental qualification was completed at the University of Otago in 2008.
Following my graduation, I worked as a House Surgeon at the Dental Department of the Christchurch Hospital and then worked at several private practices around in Christchurch and North Canterbury.
I love all aspects of dentistry, albeit with a particular allure to aesthetic dentistry. I am passionate about providing quality dental care in a friendly, professional and honest manner. I am always patient focussed and I have strong beliefs in educating the importance of oral health – noting the strong connection between a healthy mouth and the general health. I always offer treatment options that suits best each individual and understand that everyone has financial limits. I prefer to stay minimally invasive wherever possible and I like to provide quality work with high standards.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my Kiwi husband, two school-aged children and an energetic dog. I also like to challenge myself on a regular basis with the paintbrush at one of the local art groups. Being so passionate about art and about meeting new people makes me feel incredibly lucky to have dentistry as my profession and I enjoy every second of it!
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” (Steve Jobs)
BB DENTAL CLINIC
I was born and raised in Hungary. I finished my medical degree in 2000, however not long after that I realised my real interest was teeth and started my dental training in Budapest. Soon after I met my kiwi husband, Rhys. In 2004 I finally decided to move to New Zealand and completed my dental degree at Otago University. In 2010 I started working at Elmwood Dental Surgery. I enjoy the variety of general dentistry, but have a particular interest in the cosmetic aspect.

Good oral health is vital for everyone’s general health and well-being. Poor oral health and pain in the mouth can have a significant impact on the whole body and the quality of life.
Dental Care for Children and Adolescents
Baby teeth are important and need proper care. These teeth help your child to eat and speak properly. Healthy teeth look good and are important for self confidence. They also help retain space for the eruption of permanent teeth, which helps prevent crowding.

Restorative Dentistry/ Cosmetic Dentistry Fillings
A dental filling is used to fill a cavity (a hole that has formed in your teeth) or other damage such as a chipped tooth. Cavities can get bigger over time, so the sooner they’re spotted and filled, the less likely you are to have problems later. That’s why regular check-ups are important.
A perfect smile guaranteed.
